Hello! Today was the last day of individual department activities of the Education Department and the Market Development Department.
The Education Department visited Wat Taksin Waree School. First, we participated in the school's morning assembly.
After that, we interviewed the teachers regarding topics related to the school and its students, including the curriculum and problems they are currently facing. We were able to have a very fruitful discussion.
During the interaction time with children, activities are similar to those we had in the previous elementary schools: making misanga, button whirligigs, and origami. The children seemed to have enjoyed playing with us even after the activities were over!
The Market Development Department went to a cricket farm in the morning. The owner explained how crickets are cultivated, harvested, sold, and exported to nearby countries.
In the afternoon, we went to Suan Niwet Kasetsin to make a final trial of cricket tsukudani (food boiled in soy sauce) and toys for children to play with for the bilateral market. After three days of trial production, we finally developed our best cricket tsukudani recipe.
For the children's toys, we made dolls out of recycled garbage, such as plastic bottles and clothes, and we also smoothed the cut wood to make toy cars and hoops.
Tomorrow, we will visit two kindergartens and then end the day by preparing for the Bilateral Market.
Please stay tuned for our next post!
