Continuing from yesterday, the EDD held an English Station for 1st to 3rd-grade students at Wat Taksin Waree Elementary School! š· The session started with a fun introduction to learning English by singing a song about numbers in English! Next, we practiced reading the alphabet, followed by learning vocabulary related to animals, weather, occupations, and more! š°āļøšØš»āš¾ We also played a game where students expressed different emotions through gestures, divided into ten levels!
For the 1st-grade activities, students played a game where they had to guess words they had learned based on gestures from their group members! During a segment where students had to step forward and say the words displayed on the screen, many were shy at first, but gradually, more hands went up. By the end, the entire class confidently came forward and shared their answers! š¤š„š„
For the 2nd and 3rd-grade activities, students played a memory game using their learned vocabulary! Although the rules were a bit challenging at first, some students struggled initially, but they soon grasped the game and thoroughly enjoyed it! š±āØ It was impressive to see the students learning new words while having fun through the game! āØ
EXD was invited to join a Japanese language camp at Suanpa Resort, where local students who are learning Japanese participated! Upon arrival, the teachers and students warmly welcomed our members! š¤āØ
First, the students practiced using the Japanese they had learned in class through activities like introducing their families, giving a tour of their school, and role-playing in a store, making the learning experience fun and engaging! š¤ā¤ļøāš„ Next, we did an activity where students had to come up with voiceovers in Japanese for silent videos. Some students found it a bit challenging to create their voiceovers, but they received advice and collaborated with PRENGO members, which seemed to deepen their bonds! Then, we played a true-or-false quiz about Japan! āļøāā The questions were unfamiliar to many, so everyone worked together, discussing and finding the answers! š§
We also had the opportunity to share a meal together, which allowed us to engage in more conversations and strengthen our connections with the students and teachers! šøāØ
At the farewell party, we danced with the high school students we had spent the day with! šš©°
MDD first held a meeting with our collaborator, Ms. Sanya from Niwet! š¬š During the meeting, we discussed the strengths of herb dyeing, how to sell herb-dyed products in markets outside of Thailand, and how they are currently being sold locally. We received valuable advice from her! šāļøāØ
Next, we collected the herb-dyed products we had hung out to dry the previous day. šš· We then inspected the finished products and even tried them on! šāØ All the members were very satisfied with the colors and designs, making it a great success! šÆš„
After lunch, we returned to the hotel and held a department meeting. We first reviewed our activities from the past two days and then discussed our market research plans for tomorrow! š We also had a more detailed discussion about the herb dyeing business and its future prospectsā¼ļø
