The EDD department held both the “English Station” and “Career Education” sessions today for the elementary school students of Wat Taksin Waree!👧🌷
First, a career lesson was conducted for the 6th-grade students. Through the lesson, the children learned about different professions that match their personalities and characteristics. They then selected a future career they aspire to from the professions introduced by PRENGO members in a previous lesson, considered what is necessary to achieve that goal, and illustrated it with a drawing.🎨🖌️🧑🎨 In the next class on Monday, they will present their future career aspirations along with the picture they created.
In the afternoon, the “English Station” lesson was held for the 2nd and 3rd-grade students. Like the morning session, they started with a light warm-up and reviewed what they had learned the previous day. 🤔💭They then played a gesture game in groups using their learned vocabulary. Additionally, they participated in a game combining gestures and the telephone game. The children gradually became more comfortable with English and actively participated in the class. The classroom was filled with the children’s adorable smiles throughout.😊❣️
Today, the Exchange Department visited Weerawatyothin School, where we conducted Japanese language lessons for 1st to 3rd-year high school students. 📚Through these lessons, we once again realized the challenges of teaching Japanese. 💧😓We were also surprised by the variety of items available at the school’s cafeteria, one of the larger schools in Surin Province. We enjoyed lunch together, trying some of the food recommended by the students. In the afternoon, we held a meeting with the teachers to discuss future activities with PRENGO and the content of this visit, focusing on the future prospects of the Exchange Department.🤔💭
MDD held a meeting with Ms. Sanya at Suan Niwet Kaset Sin! 📝 During the meeting, we discussed MDD's future activities. We also washed the herb dyeing products with detergent and salt water, discovering that yellow tends to fade easily. 🌻✨✨
After drying the products, we proceeded to iron them. Once we had lunch, we headed to Baan Tam Nob Market. We received an explanation about the market from a local resident. Based on what we learned from the local people, we asked vendors at the market additional questions about things we noticed and were curious about. 💬 We also learned from the market organizers about future plans and ideas for the market!
We gained valuable insights that can only be acquired on-site and had a meaningful experience! 😊
